Pebble is small river stones in a cement matrix, exposed by washing before it sets. It is the toughest finish there is, it hides everything, and it is the one that makes a pool look like a lagoon.

What it is like to stand on
- Underfoot
- You feel it. A standard mix will graze a child who sits on the floor and pushes off; the polished mixes are close to smooth.
- Wet, on the steps
- The best grip of the three wet. The steps and the shelf feel sure without a rail.
- In the sun
- Darker mixes hold the heat. The sun shelf in August is where you notice it.
- After ten years
- Barely moves. The stone is the surface, so there is nothing on top to wear off.

Is pebble hard on feet?
Standard pebble has texture you feel. The fine mixes are close to smooth. We bring both samples so you can decide by touch.
Why does pebble cost the most?
The material, and the exposure step. Washing the surface at the right moment takes a crew that has done it many times.
How long does the pool stay drained?
Ten to fourteen days from drain to refill, with the curing time inside that.
